Pocket Capy: Virtual Pet - Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Pocket Capy: Virtual Pet ("the game", package com.eskimo.pocketcapy) handles information. The game is published by Eskimo Technologies Group ("we", "us"). The game is for all ages. Please read this policy before you play. Parents and guardians should read section 11.
1. Summary
- There is no account, login, chat or shared user content.
- Your pet, coins and progress are saved on your device only.
- We use Google services for ads, analytics, crash reports, remote settings, purchases and in-app reviews. These services collect some device data.
- The game asks your birth year on first launch. If you are under 13, the game switches to Children's mode with stricter rules: no personalized ads, no Advertising ID, and fewer ad types. Until you answer, the game treats you as under 13.
- Pet care reminders are made on your device. They are not sent from a server.
- People aged 13 and over can change their ad choices in the game at Settings > Privacy choices where a consent message applies.
2. Who is responsible for your data
Eskimo Technologies Group is the controller of the data processed through the game for analytics, crash reporting and purchases. For personalized ads shown to users aged 13 and over, Google acts under its own privacy policy.

3. Information we and our service providers process
3.1 Data stored only on your device
Your pet's needs, coins, items you bought, room colors, daily gift streak, mini-game scores, settings and your birth year (used for the age question) are saved locally. We do not receive this data. If you uninstall the game or clear game data, it is deleted.
3.2 Data processed through SDKs
- Advertising ID (Google advertising ID) and the Android permission
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID. This applies to users aged 13 and over only, and only for ads from Google AdMob. It is not collected or used in Children's mode, and Firebase Analytics does not collect it for any user. - Firebase installation ID / app instance ID.
- Device information: device model and operating system version.
- IP address and approximate location: when the game connects to Google services, they receive your IP address and use it to work out your approximate region. We do not access GPS or precise location.
- App interactions: events such as rooms visited, care actions, mini-games finished, items bought with coins and ads viewed. For the age question, only the group (under 13 or 13 and over) is recorded, not your birth year.
- Crash logs and diagnostics: information about crashes and app performance.
- Purchase history: product ID and order token for your in-app purchase. Google processes the payment. We never see your card or bank details.
3.3 Data you send us
If you email us or send feedback, we receive your email address and your message. Sending feedback is optional.
3.4 What we do not collect
We do not collect your name, phone number, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data, or precise location. We do not run an account system. The game has no chat and no way to post or share content with other players.
4. How we use information
- To run the game and keep it stable (Remote Config settings, crash reports).
- To understand how the game is used and improve it, for example which mini-games people finish (analytics).
- To show ads and measure them, and to limit fraud and invalid ad traffic.
- To process and restore your purchase.
- To remind you to care for your pet. Reminders are scheduled on your device and use only data stored on your device.
- To reply to your emails and requests.
- To keep the game secure and comply with the law.
We do not sell your personal data.

6. Ads and your choices
The game is free and shows ads from Google AdMob. For users aged 13 and over, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. Ad types are: ads when you return to the game, ads between mini-games, reward videos you choose to watch, and banner ads in the shop.
- In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, a consent message (Google UMP) appears for users aged 13 and over. You choose whether personalized ads and related data use are allowed.
- You can reopen this choice at any time in the game: Settings > Privacy choices.
- On Android you can reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of ads personalization, in Settings > Google > Ads (the path may differ by device).
- If you buy "Remove Ads", the game stops showing app open ads, ads between mini-games and banner ads. Reward videos you choose to watch (for example to double your coins) stay available. Analytics and crash reporting may still run as described here.
- Users under 13 get different ads. See section 11.
7. Legal bases (EEA, UK and Swiss users)
- Consent: personalized ads and analytics, where the law requires consent. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interest: crash reporting, security and fraud prevention, keeping the game stable.
- Contract: processing your in-app purchase so you receive what you bought.
- Legal obligation: where we must keep records or respond to authorities.
- Children: for users under 13 we limit processing to what is needed to run, secure and improve the game and to show non-personalized ads. We do not use their data for personalized ads.
8. Retention
- Local game data, including your birth year: kept on your device until you clear it or uninstall the game.
- Analytics data (Firebase): kept for the retention period set in Firebase, up to 14 months.
- Crash logs (Crashlytics): kept for 90 days.
- Feedback emails and parent requests: kept for up to 2 years, then deleted.
- Purchase records: kept by Google Play under Google's policies. We keep only what we need for support and legal reasons.
9. Sharing and international transfers
We share data only with the service providers listed above and where the law requires. We do not sell personal data. We do not share the personal data of users under 13 for advertising.
Google processes data on servers in the United States and other countries. When data from the EEA, UK or Switzerland is transferred outside those regions, Google relies on safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses. See the Google and Firebase links above.
10. Your rights and choices
In the game and on your device you can:
- Reopen consent choices: Settings > Privacy choices (where a consent message applies).
- Turn pet care reminders on or off in the game's Settings, or in your Android notification settings.
- Reset or opt out of the Advertising ID in your Android settings.
- Clear game data in your Android app settings.
To ask for access to or deletion of data we hold about you, email eskimoglobal.store@gmail.com. We reply within 30 days. We may ask for your Advertising ID or Firebase installation ID so we can find your data. We cannot find data without an identifier, because we have no accounts.
10.1 EEA, UK and Switzerland users (GDPR)
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier processing. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
10.2 California and other US states
Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what personal information we process, to ask for deletion or correction, and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. Ad personalization through Google may count as "sharing" under some state laws. Use Settings > Privacy choices or your device's ad settings to opt out. We do not sell or share the personal information of users we know are under 13. We do not discriminate against you for using these rights. Email us to make a request.
11. Children's privacy (users under 13)
Pocket Capy is for all ages, including children. We design the game to follow the Google Play Families Policy and the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). This section explains what is different for users under 13.
11.1 The age question
On first launch the game asks for your birth year. It does not suggest an answer. Your birth year stays on your device and is never sent to us. Our analytics records only the group: under 13, or 13 and over. If you enter an age under 13, the game uses Children's mode.
Some countries set a higher age for digital consent (up to 16 in parts of the EEA). If you are younger than that age where you live, please play with a parent's or guardian's permission.
11.2 What Children's mode does
- There are no accounts, no chat and no way to share or post content publicly.
- We do not knowingly collect a child's name, email address, phone number, home address, precise location, photos, or audio inside the game.
- Ads are treated as child-directed. They are not personalized and are limited to content rated G.
- Ads come only from Google AdMob, which is certified for use in apps for children. We do not use ad mediation or any other ad network.
- The game does not collect or use the Advertising ID.
- The game does not show app open ads or banner ads. Children may see ads between mini-games and reward videos they choose to watch.
- The consent message for personalized ads is not shown, because no personalized ads are shown.
- Analytics are used only for statistics about how the game is used and for fixing crashes. We do not use them to personalize ads or to build a profile of a child. Ad personalization signals are off.
- When the game connects to Google services, they receive the device's IP address and a Firebase installation ID. These are used only to run the game and its ads, analytics, crash reports and settings, and to derive approximate region. They are not used for precise location.
- Pet care reminders are made on the device. Nothing about them is sent off the device.
- The only purchase is Remove Ads, made through Google Play. Google Play can require a password or biometric check before a purchase. Parents can use Google Family Link and the Google Play parental controls to approve or block purchases.
11.3 Parents and guardians
If you are a parent or guardian, you can email eskimoglobal.store@gmail.com to:
- ask what information we hold about your child;
- ask us to delete it;
- ask us to stop collecting information from your child.
Please tell us the device model and, if you can, the Firebase installation ID. We use your email only to answer your request. We reply within 30 days. The quickest way to stop all collection is to uninstall the game. Uninstalling or clearing the game's data also deletes everything saved on the device, including the birth year.
11.4 If a child's data was collected by mistake
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without a parent's permission, we delete it and stop collecting it. If you believe this has happened, email us.
11.5 Other services
Google AdMob and Firebase act under their own policies. See the table in section 5 and the Google links there.
12. Security
Data sent between the game and Google services is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). No method is fully secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will change the effective date at the top and, where required, tell you in the game or on our website. If a change affects how we handle children's information, we will tell parents before it applies, where the law requires. Using the game after an update means you accept the new version.
